Portrait painter Elisabeth Vigée Le Brun
In 2015, the first exhibition was dedicated to the portrait painter Elisabeth Vigée Le Brun in Paris. It is gratifying that the impressive selection of works compiled by Joseph Baillio, the best connoisseur of the work, will be shown as a second stop at the Metropolitan Museum and then in Ottawa at the Musée des Beaux-Arts du Canada. It is probably the first retrospective in these museums, which is dedicated to an artist of the 18th century.
